Morpheus8
Morpheus8 is a fractional microneedle RF device from InMode; here is how to think about its recovery on a trip.
How it works
Morpheus8 is made by InMode and combines microneedling with fractional radiofrequency. Needles insert at adjustable depths, and radiofrequency heats the tissue at the needle tips. This creates a pattern of small thermal zones in the dermis and, at greater depths, in underlying tissue. The practitioner picks depth and energy for each area, with the aim of supporting remodeling over time.
Good to know
- Because needles penetrate to adjustable depths, deeper settings tend to mean more visible aftereffects.
- Pinpoint marks, swelling, and a sandpaper-like texture are commonly described in the first days.
- Numbing is standard, and some people find the treatment uncomfortable on bony areas.
- Results build over weeks and often involve more than one visit.
What a Morpheus8 session means for your travel days
Expect the first days to look flushed, perhaps puffy, so avoid putting a big photo day right after. Pick a hotel with a quiet, shaded setting if you can.
Place the appointment well ahead of a long flight so you can see how your skin is settling. If you must fly sooner, discuss shallower settings with the doctor.
Morpheus8: common questions
Will I look swollen on day two?
Many people do, to some degree. Swelling varies with depth and area.
Can I wear sunscreen?
Follow the clinic's guidance on timing and product type.
Is it the same as Potenza?
Both are microneedle RF devices, but they differ in design and settings. A doctor can explain the difference.
