LDM
LDM is a dual-frequency ultrasound skin care system; here is how a session fits a travel schedule.
How it works
LDM is short for local dynamic micro-massage, the name of a dual-frequency ultrasound system. A handpiece, often used with water or gel as a coupling medium, delivers gentle ultrasound waves into the skin. The intention is to warm and stimulate tissue softly and to help absorption of care products. It is considered a low-intensity, comfort-focused approach.
Good to know
- Sessions are typically soothing and leave no visible mark.
- Because the intensity is low, plans usually involve repeated visits.
- It is often chosen for sensitive or reactive skin, though a doctor should confirm suitability.
- Effects are subtle, and expectations should be modest.
What a LDM session means for your travel days
With no downtime, you can have it any day, including close to a flight, to calm the skin after dry air and sun.
It can also follow a more active procedure as part of a recovery plan if the doctor approves. Ask whether it is meant to complement other care or stand alone.
LDM: common questions
Can I have it right before flying?
Usually yes, since it is gentle. Confirm with the practitioner.
Is it worth doing once?
A single session may feel pleasant, but visible change is usually small. Expectations should stay realistic.
Is it safe for sensitive skin?
It is often used on sensitive skin, but a doctor should evaluate you first.
