Mark-Vu
Mark-Vu is a digital skin analysis camera system; here is how an analysis visit fits the start of a Seoul trip.
How it works
Mark-Vu is a digital skin analysis camera system. It captures standardized images, often with different lighting modes, and software highlights features such as pigment, texture, pores, or vascular redness. The output is a set of images and scores that a practitioner can discuss with you. It is an aid for conversation and tracking, and not a diagnosis on its own.
Good to know
- The scan itself is non-invasive and generally takes minutes.
- Scores and maps are tools; the doctor interprets them alongside an examination.
- Repeated scans in matching conditions help compare changes over time.
- Makeup and recent sun exposure can affect the image.
What a Mark-Vu session means for your travel days
It is the easiest appointment to place on your first or second day, and it gives you a baseline before any treatment. Arrive with clean skin if the clinic asks.
Ask for a copy of your images. They help if you want to compare changes at home, or if a doctor there needs to see where you started.
Mark-Vu: common questions
Does a scan recommend treatments?
It can inform a discussion, but the doctor decides what is suitable.
Do I need to remove makeup?
Usually yes, so the camera reads your skin accurately.
Is it the same as a medical diagnosis?
No. It is an image-based aid and does not replace a clinical exam.
